Our Values

Today, more than ever, students are continuously exposed to violence, dishonesty, and other social problems. Therefore moral values should be rigorously implemented as a fundamental part of the school curriculum. Our kids may forget academic concepts, but moral values will stick with them forever which in turn helps them make good choices. The first stage that firmly sets the foundation on human values is the preschool years. After this critical time, when fundamental values have been developed, changing a troublesome behavior will require more work and sometimes it might not get resolved. Trinity Spiral School strives to teach moral values in a systematic and consistent manner.

  • Kindness
Is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Science has now shown that devoting resources to others, rather than having more and more for yourself, brings about lasting well-being Compassion
  • Compassion
Is defined as being sensitive to the needs of people and showing understanding of the person’s feelings and emotions. That means talking to them and trying to share what they are going through. It is more demanding than a mere act of kindness.
  • Honesty and truthfulness
Being honest and truthful engenders trust and trust leads to friendship and a good reputation. Because we all need friends, honesty and transparency are a basic aspect of human nature.
  • Respect
Teaching children to genuinely recognize that they deserve respect for themselves is a vital part on the mission of loving who they are. They have to believe they’re beautiful and deserved to be loved and respected by others because they’re unique. If they learn this important lesson, then we can expect a path towards the respect of others without too much trouble.
  • Forgiveness
Keeping undefinable a feeling of anger towards the people that hurt us, poisons our souls. “If I develop bad feelings toward those who make me suffer, this will only destroy my own peace of mind. But if I forgive, my mind becomes calm,” says the Dalai Lama. We have to teach our kids to willingly forgive, so that they can have a safe environment, free of violence.
  • Patience
Patience is the quality that brings about inner peace, and together with perseverance, brings about success in whatever endeavor we choose to undertake. Impatience causes irritation, imprudence, wrong decisions, poor relationships, and contributes greatly to personal unhappiness.
  • Responsibility
Taking responsibility is acknowledging and accepting the choices you have made, the actions you have taken, and the results they have led to. True autonomy leads to both having responsibility and taking responsibility. It is the congruence of what you think, what you say, and what you do.
  • Hard work and Perseverance
Perseverance is the drive that helps us to get past the hard stuff to get to what we want. We need to encourage our kids to wait and work through difficulties, whether they have to do with their mind, their body, or their emotions because life is full of challenges and struggles that have to be face with autonomy. Perseverance will teach them to be a responsible and resilient adult. Without perseverance, they won’t get far in life.
